COMP::/// DEADLINE POSTPONED A MONTH~~~!!

Hey guys!!!

I bet you saw the title and the first thought you thought was probably more along the lines of "OMG A CHANCE FOR FREE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP!!!!!!!!" over the fact this is my first competition, but same thing, lol If you thought the latter, well, Yay! I want you lovely people to let as many people as possible know about this competition too, because I'm just going to give away a set of premium memberships if only, like, ten-fifteen people enter this thing, k? After all, this is money out of my wallet we're talking about here, lol ><

ANYWAY! As a quick update before I put up all the information for this competition, Jealous is on a short Hiatus for now since I am currently suffering a bit of plot-block, though expect the next page soon anyway, since it's not like Cliche where I smashed my thought train through the brick wall which stopped me form going off the cliff (basically, I lost the train of thought for that entirely), consider it like stopping at a station instead. Jealous is still on track, just delayed.

As for manga issues, the next pae of Crystal Flame is completely sketched and the first page of Costume.Play is currently going through the toning process! Keep Out!'s on hiatus however as, like with Jealous, it's plot blocked (and the issue called ink splotches were so plentiful I am giving myself a rest form that). Remember for Crystal Flame fans, don't be surprised by the slow updates, since it takes longer to getting around and finishing a traditional image than a computer image because one fuck up in a tradition image and BAM! There goes a day's work! So as a result, I complete them slowly because I know the pain of 'smudging', and trust me, it 'hurts' your artwork alot! >O

Finally, social issues, my Allen Walker (3rd) cosplay finally arrived!!!! D I wore it on Saturday down in the city when I stayed overnight at LV9's place However I made an unfortunately revelation... I have the face of an antagonist/asshole protagonist and as a result poor girly Allen Walker's innocent feature's are far from my own! >< So as a result for Kinokuniya's Free Comic Book day next weekend, and the Cosplay Photoshoot I'm hosting in Katoomba two weeks after, I will be cosplaying as Sasori since I actualy resemble him, unlike a certain innocent exorcist. I really should've gone as Kanda Yu ><

School wise, I'm totally flying down the drain with that >< C-average (aren't I a genius?) and failing English, shoot meh now~ So I'm hunting for a job in Sydney to Katoomba area, so if you live in the city and you hear of a job for a completely unexperienced little nut, well, tell me! Because I really need to get out of high school, shitty job or not ><

NOW!! Back onto the subject of this particular journal, the competition!! Here's all the facts::

TITLE:
"Costume.Played"

DEADLINE:
JULY 31ST

DESCRIPTION:
Love Anime? Well if you watch me, of course. Love Manga? If you read my doujins/manga you should Love Cosplay? Well I sure as hell do!
The goal of this competition is for artists, colourists and writers to band together and compete for the listed-below prizes, by drawing/colouring/etc for me someone from Costume.Play in Cosplay! However, it is not limited to that, oh no, you have the choice of either doing someone from CP in cosplay OR drawing someone from D.Gray-Man, Naruto, Vocaloid or Fullmetal Alchemist cosplaying as a Costume.Play character!
However since there are only three main characters played to date, the latter catergory is a bit more limited ^.^; Now onto the easier-to-comprehend facts layed out!!

CATEGORIES:
{1} CP CAST AS OTHER CHARACTERS!

--- DRAWING! --- As the title suggests, this particular category is all about the art! Naturally, as the most important category, the prizes for this one will be the greatest, obviously
Anyway, in 'DRAWING!', all you really have to do is create an image depicting either Keito, Kaito and/or Tsuki in cosplay, and clearly, the more work you put into the image, the higher chance you have at winning the top prize! I am most interested in works which are fully coloured/rendered for this category, however there are no complaints for anything otherwise, as this is a free-for-all category, but remember, make sure you make it at least clear that it is these characters in cosplay, and not just say... Kanda or Ed Elric, ya know? So to do this you have to make sure their eyes keep the right shape, DON'T FORGET KEITO'S SCAR (it's a bit like a double sided sickle, the part at the bottom is the same under his bang at the forehead, only reversed and more curved) if you're doing him, Tsuki's eyes are very lazy, in chibi form they'd resemble Ed Elric's, the twins are identical and tanned, Tsuki's pale and so on. Remember, you're drawing cosplayers, not just the original characters!
You can collab with another artist, one colour and one do the line-art, but the prizes will be split and if you get first prize, you'll automatically just get 318 points each (636 points split).





{2} OTHER CHARACTERS AS THE CP CAST!

--- a) DRAWING! --- Once again, as suggested, this is for artworks! Same concept as {1}'s Drawing category, only in reverse, instead of Tsuki as Naruto, we'd have Naruto as Tsuki and so on! Make sure the characters are identifiable as both themselves and one of the CP cast, and keep an eye out on the site's character gallery for more options as I add them! I'll be adding the references below!




--- b) WRITING! --- OMG YES~! There is a second category to this one, as knowing your Naruto/FMA/DGM/Vocaloid character is more common than knowing the characters of my just-debutting manga, charaters of whom's personalities are truly apparent until the chapter's done, and even then, it's just how they act at conventions.
Also, this category is much for freelance, as it's writing, as long as at least someone's cosplaying in the fiction as either Tsuki or Keito/Kaito, then it can qualify, however they must be a main character in the fiction. For immitation purposes, Tsuki can be compared to Shikamaru - he's very laid back and calm; Kaito is to Keito basically just like Komui is to Lenalee - protective, he's also flamboyant and has no problem's crossdressing; Keito is an angry little guy, like Kanda or Sasuke, only releases his anger like Ed Elric - extreme release. This is just incase it's a cosplay con situation and those characters want to be in character for a tiny bit.




RULES:
{1} The work MUST fit towards the category!
{2} In Category 1, the CP cast can cosplay as anyone, however in Category 2, only cast from D.Gray-Man, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist or Vocaloid can cosplay as the CP cast, so I can make sure no one has their OCs cosplaying as the CP cast.
{3} OCs/Other characters CAN be in any of the entries, as long as the requirements are met as well
{4} In the DRAWING! categories, as long as some form of artwork is in it, you can make comics, manga pages and so on if you wish
{5} Do NOT, repeat, Do NOT steal anyone else's works to submit as an entry - this also includes commissioning someone else to do the entry for you, is it NOT ALLOWED. The prize is for the artist/writer, NOT the theif.
{6} Have Fun!!
{7}Yes, you can enter as many entries as you want, no limitations, though only one prize-pack per person!
